Documentation and Presentation of Evidence are Key Factors in any Crime Scene Recreation

AI2 combines the use of a total station with forensic photogrammetry to capture and document evidence with a high degree of accuracy and confidence. The resultant measurements can be exported to CAD or animation programs for analysis and visualization purposes.

Also, it is often possible through the use of photogrammetry to work backwards from photographs to obtain accurate measurements of important pieces of evidence even months or years after a scene has been released.

We have worked with Forensic Experts to assist in recreating crime scenes for analyzing bullet trajectories and blood spatter. Through the use of accurate measuring and visualization tools, the events of a crime scene and and relative positions of evidence can be better understood, measured and analyzed.

bloodstains, blood spatter, forensic photogrammetry, orthorectified images, measurements from photographs
Bloodstains can be orthorectified to remove perspective distortion and give scaled measurements.
