Last Updated: July 27, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how ai2-3D collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use SceneX. SceneX is designed for professional evidence documentation by law enforcement, forensic practitioners, investigators, public safety organizations, and commercial organizations requiring secure, traceable documentation.

2. Information We Collect

SceneX collects user account information (email address and password), project names, photographs, videos, audio recordings, text notes, GPS coordinates, timestamps, device information, camera metadata (EXIF), audit logs, SHA-256 hashes, crash logs, and diagnostic information. SceneX does not collect postal addresses, IP addresses, or AI-generated scene descriptions.

3. Local Storage

Project data is stored locally on the user's device. Project files and media are encrypted at rest. ai2-3D does not have access to project content stored on the device.

4. Security

Access to SceneX requires a registered account and password. Optional biometric authentication (such as Face ID or Touch ID) may be enabled on supported devices. All project data is encrypted at rest.

5. Ownership of Data

All photographs, videos, audio recordings, notes, metadata, audit logs, reports, and other project data remain the property of the user or the user's organization. ai2-3D claims no ownership interest in user-generated evidence.

6. Exports

Users may export original media, metadata, notes, PDF reports, ZIP archives, and individual files. Export events may be recorded in the audit log to support traceability.

7. Deleted Data

Deleted items are moved to a Bin where they remain for up to seven (7) days. During this period they may be restored. After seven days they are permanently deleted from the device.

8. Accounts and Subscriptions

Users create an account using an email address and password. A secure password reset process is available. New users receive a complimentary 30-day evaluation period without providing payment information. Continued use after the evaluation period requires an active annual subscription.

9. Future Services

Future versions of SceneX may offer optional cloud storage, synchronization, or collaboration features. If implemented, this Privacy Policy will be updated before such services become available.

10. Children's Privacy

SceneX is intended for professional users and is not intended for children under the age of 18.
